My Professional Journey

My professional qualifications earned & maintained, are as:

  • a Registered Professional Counsellor, with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association. I've been a member in good standing for 12 years of practice, I have & continue to receive ongoing supervision, professional development & accountability.

  • I also hold the designation of a Clinical Heart-Centered Hypnotherapist, certified through the Wellness Institute & hold membership with the Heart-Centered Therapies Association.

My academic journey began with a foundational Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Prince Edward Island. I went on to pursue an experiential & intensive (1000+ classroom & personal therapy hours) Diploma of Professional Counselling from the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training.

Further studying the language of the body, vulnerability stretching, & the “here & now” field relations approach, I received a specialization in Gestalt Psychotherapy from the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. I am also grateful to have practiced Gestalt Awareness Integration Therapy with Maecan Campbell.

I am also a certified Mindfulness Facilitator through Mindfulness Without Borders & use these social & emotional intelligence skills often in teaching awareness, relaxation & self-regulation.

Under the guidance of Master Psychic Medium, Rev. Barry King, I have also studied Intuitive Development. The recognition & inclusion of the spirit in mind/body/heart work has been incredibly supportive for me.

Most recently I have studied Past Life Regression Therapy, with the Boulder Hypnotherapy Institute.

I weave all of these practices together with great inspiration from unmet teachers as well, such as: Louise Hay, Jon-Kabat Zinn, Gabor Mate & Gary Zukav.

And, of course - every good therapist has a therapist/mentor & holds a lifelong reverence for the work. I will not take you somewhere where I have not been myself. My personal work began in 2008 & I continue to regularly hold space for my own healing, reflection, & growth.
